Chelsea Lately does Rachel Zoe, and I Die

New Adam Lambert!!

I think this song is pretty fierce.

Not an Adam Lambert fan? Watch the clip below and then look me in the eyes and tell me it's not the most beautiful thing you've ever heard:

Britney Spears New Music Video: Parody

Brit's new video came out today, you can watch it here. But check out this hilarious parody too by Ryan James Yezak & Scott Nelson. Kinda reminds me of the dragtastic O.C. parody from a few years ago....

Must have: Convertible Boots

When I first heard that above-the-knee boots were going to be big this year, I was hesitant about whether to embrace the trend. Being the risk-averse consumer that I am, I wondered how long the trend would last and how often I would be able to rock a style inspired by street walkers. While perusing the selection online, however, I soon realized that a compromise exists: the CONVERTIBLE boot. Yup, these boots can be worn over the knee OR folded down into regular below-the-knee boots. Throw it in the bag! Here are some examples: one flat and one heeled. Why make choices when you don’t have to?

Taylor Jacobson is OOC, but I Die.

Anyone who wasn’t enraged when Brad stole Paris please leave my blog. Taylor obviously deserved to go. She is the shit. She is the least pleasant person I have ever witnessed on television. She is constantly complaining and bitter about her job, which has made her a prime time sensation and has probably set her up in the fashion world for the rest of her life. When she isn’t complaining about how much she hates her job, she’s on her blackberry or giving ultimatums to her boss. She wears black ray bans inside and no one ever says anything because they are all scared of her. But at the end of the day, she is the only one who gets shit done, and you can tell she has the best fashion sense out of any of them. I die for her.

Halloween: Trick or....Turning Tricks?

Recently, while visiting the Garment District of Boston in search of a Halloween costume, I asked my friend whether I should aim for my costume to be sexy, funny, or scary. He replied that if I attempted the first, I would achieve the latter two. Probably true. Most girls go with sexy, and that’s fine. As Cady Heron put it: “In the real world, Halloween is when children dress up in costumes and beg for candy. In Girl World, Halloween is the one night a year when a girl can dress like a total slut and no other girls can say anything about it. The hard-core girls just wear lingerie and some form of animal ears.” I personally can’t take the idea of dressing sexy for Halloween seriously, and typically go for your standard humorous costume (Cereal Killer, 2007) or scary get-up (zombie, 2008-2009). I’ve heard there will be a lot of Vampires this year so maybe I’ll have some company.

Hangover Chic

The next time you are heading to brunch or the corner coffee shop and think you are too hungover for fashion....consider an attempt at "hangover chic." Wear your comfortable basics (hoodie with skinny jeans or spandex), but throw on some key accessories and give the paparazzi reason to look again. Slide up the sleeves of your sweatshirt and throw on some gold bangles. If you’re feeling adventurous, why not layer a fur vest over your hoodie? So chic. With your aviators and hair swept back, you’ll be a dead ringer for Rachel Bilson on her way to Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.

Must have: Jean Spandex

Have you ever bought an item of clothing and worn it so much you later couldn't remember how you survived without it? That’s how I feel about jean spandex right now. I know that the last time you wore jean spandex you probably had it paired with an extra large tie dye t-shirt and were on your way to summer camp, but trust me, they are BACK. I bought my first pair a month ago at Intermix (by Blank) and I cannot imagine life before them.

Why jean spandex are a necessity:

- They are stretchy and comfortable like spandex

- They fit perfectly inside boots, with no awkward wrinkling or extra material to deal with

- They are so cute

Get them here.
