Today Rachel Zoe tweeted that her favorite nail polish color of the season was up on her website. Even before clicking the link I knew it was going to be grey. I was a bit surprised when I saw it was a metallic, but as Rach explained, “You all know how strongly I feel about sequins—so of course I love to see them in a polish. This silvery sequin lacquer is the ultimate shade for all of your festive soirees…like a disco ball on your nails :)”. I don’t know how I feel about metallic nails right now, and am partial to a matte grey. On the other hand, my friend Dunia, who also covered this issue on her blog, told me via an exclusive Gchat interview that she has found metallic greys generate more compliments.
